Hot air

We get a lot of hot air balloons floating around our neighborhood in the mornings. I snapped this photo on my way to get coffee today. I thought it was cool.

This street is parallel to the street we live on. They must take off from a park or sports field somewhere nearby. I think they stick to our area because we're so close to the city, and the skyline is what they're showing off. I could be wrong though. They get real low to the ground sometimes, which can be a little freaky.

My dislike of heights means you'll never find me dangling from a balloon in a basket. Not even if there's champagne involved.

In the city? That's daring. We get 'em here all the time in the summer, but we're out in the country. They sail over vineyards and castles, not high-rise buildings.

Did somebody mention champagne??

Hey there, thanks for the visit to my site and the comment today....cheers. We had a ton of hot air balloons around my house growing up -- we lived next to a schoolground where they would come and go from. They are so beautiful and fun to see up in the clear blue sky!!
